Parish Pastoral Council

The Parish Pastoral Council (PPC) exercises consultative and advisory roles to the Pastor in the administration and ministry of the Parish. It assists the Pastor in implementing all the programs of the Parish and those formulated by the Church and the Archdiocese of San Francisco. To assist the Pastor in his responsibility to coordinate with the local ordinary in building the local Church are 5 ministries or commissions; namely, Worship, Education/Formation, Service, Temporalities and Youth or WESTY, for short.

Based on the Vision and Mission of St. Augustine Parish, the PPC has formulated its Parish Pastoral Plan which spells out the goals and objectives of WESTY Commissions. To achieve the set goals and objectives, the Commissions work with their respective committees in planning, implementing and evaluating activities and projects.

A major undertaking this year is the launching of the renovation of the church sanctuary. To start the fund-raising for this project, the Music Ministry held “Love is in the Air” Concert last February 8. This was followed by the successful Santacruzan 2014 on May 31st. The most recently concluded activity on June 7 was “A Day of Gratitude for Lay Ministers” wherein members of religious organizations, ministers, catechists and church volunteers were recognized for their dedication and generosity in service to the parish.

Our parish fiesta in honor of our patron, St. Augustine will be on Saturday, August 24. To celebrate this feast, everyone is invited to join the Thanksgiving Mass and procession followed by fellowship in the Parish Hall.

The annual Parish Family Fun Day will be scheduled in the Fall. Stand by for announcements of future projects and events.
